US government proposals for a new Farm Bill do not go enough to cut domestic support payments, the European Commission said today.
"If we are to have a successful outcome to the Doha Round, the US will need to propose more ambitious cuts and disciplines in trade-distorting domestic farm subsidies," the European Union executive's agriculture spokesman, Michael Mann, said.
