St Ursula's National School, Ballytruckle, Waterford, has won £1,000 worth of books in the National Book Week competition run by Children's Books Ireland in conjunction with Education and Living.

Meanwhile, the winners of the EIL/Irish Times scholarships are: to Japan - John Kelly, Colaiste Einde, Galway; to Ecuador - Sara Callagy, Our Lady's Bower, Athlone; to Washington - James Murphy, CBC Cork; and to Mexico - Lyndsey Power, St Angela's, Waterford.
