Treat yourself to a feast of Irish music this summer: Blas 98 - the International Summer School of Traditional Irish Music and Dance - will be held at UL from July 13th to 24th, with lectures, tutorials, workshops, field trips, sessions and lunchtime and evening concerts.
If you opt for traditional Irish dance you can expect a wide ranging experience including seannos step dancing and ceili dancing.
These include Dr Micheal O Suilleabhain, , Andy Irvine and Lillis O Laoire. Classes are tailored according to needs and there is university accreditation.

50 years in Palestine
Marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of Israel, TCD's One World and Politics societies play host tomorrow to two Palestinian activists - Dr Ghada Karmiof the Centre for Near and Middle Eastern Studies, University of London, and Azzam Tamimi of the Centre for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminister. The venue is the Ussher Theatre in the arts block, at 7.30 p.m. Admission is free.
