Power has been restored to homes and businesses in Dublin today after about 3,000 electricity customers were hit by a power outage in Dublin today.

The outage impacted customers in Crumlin and Drimnagh. It happened after damage to underground cables in the Crumlin area had caused the power to drop out last night, an ESB Networks spokesman said. ESB Network technicians worked to repair and replace the cables since this morning.

The power was restored to all customers this afteroon, ESB Networks tweeted shortly before 3pm today.
