File prepared for CPS over Derry murder

Five men arrested for questioning about the murder last year of Derry man Emmet Shiels have been released from custody.

Five men arrested for questioning about the murder last year of Derry man Emmet Shiels have been released from custody.

The PSNI released the men without charge.

A file is being sent to the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service).

Mr Shiels, 22, from Tyrconnell Street in the Bogside, was shot after he became embroiled in a row with masked gunmen in June last year.

Two other people have been charged in connection with his murder.
