Sydney - Australian tree frogs could hold the key to a new range of drugs to fight cancer and voracious bacteria like golden staph which closes hospital wards, a university research team has discovered.

The University of Adelaide team has established that the chemical arsenal which protec ted the frog through millions of years includes some of the most powerful hormones, neuropep tides, antibiotics and anti-virals yet found in nature.
