In a somewhat surprising move Graham Geraghty will return to the Meath fold and is available for selection ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier against Galway in Portlaoise.
Geraghty had fallen out with fellow players and management within the senior squad, leaving it uncertain if the front man would ever line-out for the Royals again.
Following Meath's win over Fermanagh at the weekend the squad resumed training last night while Geraghty played a championship match for his club Clann na nGael in Navan.
After the match it is understood he went straight to county training and made his peace with the players and management team of Colm Coyle, Tommy Dowd and Dudley Farrell.
Geraghty was originally removed from the county panel after striking teammate Stephen Shepard in a training ground incident.
That meant he was unavailable for Meath's wins over Down and Fermanagh. However, he is available for selection this weekend's game against Galway but is unlikely to make the starting line-up.
