Twin American baby girls adopted over the internet by a British couple are to be returned to the US, the High Court in London ruled today.
In a statement issued by the judge after he gave his ruling in private, he said the nine-month-old sisters would be looked after by foster parents in the state of Missouri, where they were born.
A court there will decide what is in their best interests.
The ruling dashed attempts by Mr Alan and Judith Kilshaw to keep the children, whom they have named Kimberley and Belinda.
As the judge gave his ruling, Mrs Judith Kilshaw ran out of the court screaming "there is no justice. They said I lied."
She was restrained by court officials as she harangued reporters, returned to the courtroom slightly calmer, but had to be escorted out again later.

The Kilshaws, from north Wales, insist they adopted the girls legally over the Internet after paying a baby broker £8,200 pounds sterling (euro 13,200).
However, it emerged that the girls were only placed with the Kilshaws after being taken away from a Californian couple, Mr Richard and Vickie Allen, who had paid half the amount.
The Allens had the babies for two months. They claimed they were duped into returning the twins to their natural mother, 28-year-old Ms Tranda Wecker, before they were effectively resold through the baby broker.
The twins are now being cared for by foster parents appointed by the local authority.
