A body has been found by police investigating the disappearance of a woman in Co Antrim.

A body has been found by police investigating the disappearance of a woman in Co Antrim.

Pauline Carmichael (61) was last seen near her home at Hillside in Antrim on Monday night.

Two men, aged 37 and 59, have been arrested in connection with the matter and remain in custody. They are and are being questioned by PSNI serious crime branch detectives.

Police earlier said Ms Carmichael’s disappearance was being treated as a murder following information passed on to them.

A body was found on Wednesday evening on the shore of Lough Neagh at Lough Road in Antrim.

A formal identification process is now taking place.
