Gardaí have lifted a bomb warning from two Apple facilities in Cork.

A Garda spokesman earlier confirmed gardaí had ordered the evacuation of both Apple’s plant at Hollyhill where around 4,000 people were working and from its centre at Lavitt’s Quay, where 800 people were at work, after receiving the bomb threat.

It is understood someone posted the threat on the Garda website at 8.20am on Monday.

After consultation with Apple management, gardaí began to evacuate both centres at 10am.
