Garda appeals for witnesses after vehicle veers off dual carriageway

A man has died after a single-vehicle collision on the N4 at Lucan, in west Co Dublin, on Monday afternoon.

The driver (32) was in a car that veered from the carriageway and hit a stone wall on the citybound approach to junction 4a. The man, who had been alone in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

His body was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. A postmortem will be carried out by the coroner’s office.
