A baby girl was delivered overnight on the M50 by paramedics from Dublin Fire Brigade.
An ambulance was called at 3.25am to Junction 4 southbound and the baby was delivered shortly afterwards.
Mother and baby were then brought to the Coombe Hospital.

A spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade said both were doing well.
