Woman (36) dies in overnight Cork crash

A 36-year-old woman has been killed in a single-vehicle crash near Bantry, Co Cork.

Gardaí said they believe the incident happened between 10pm last night and 7am today.

The woman was fatally injured when her car left the road. The road was closed by gardaí to facilitate an examination by forensic investigators.

Gardaí have issued an appeal to the public for information and called on any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have travelled on the road between Drimoleague and Skibbereen between 10pm last night and 7am this morning to contact them at Bantry Garda Station on 027-20860, the Garda confidential telephone line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
