A man has been found not guilty of rape at the Central Criminal Court

A man has been found not guilty of rape at the Central Criminal Court. A jury of five men and seven women took under one hour to reach a unanimous verdict and find the 47-year-old man not guilty of rape on January 3rd, 1998.

The accused denied the allegations during the three-day trial before Mr Justice Barr and claimed he had consensual sex with the woman.
