Man burned after Co Armagh petrol bombing

A 23-year-old man sustained face and neck injuries when a petrol bomb was thrown into a house Co Armagh last night.

A 23-year-old man sustained face and neck injuries when a petrol bomb was thrown into a house Co Armagh last night.

He was one of four people in the house at Hillside Park, Hamiltonsbawn, when a window in the front room was smashed and the device thrown in at around 9 pm.

He sustained superficial burns trying to quell the fire.

Police said five men with baseball bats carried out the attack before driving away in a dark coloured car.

Detectives have not established a motive and have made a public appeal for information.
