A 21-year-old Leeds man has been charged with the murder and rape of his 2-year-old neice.
Police were questioning Michael Patrick Mullen after the death and sexual assault of Casey Leigh Mullen on Sunday.
The little girl was found dead in a pool of her own blood at her home in Oak Tree Crescent, Lawrence Road, Gipton, on Sunday night.
It is understood Casey's mother, Samantha Canham (21) lived with her partner and two children — the little girl and a three-year-old boy.
Mr Mullen is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
