A 52-year-old man died after the car he was travelling in was involved in a head-on crash on the Tulla Road one mile outside Ennis, Co Clare. Mr J.J. O'Donnell of Scarriff, Co Clare, was taken to Ennis General Hospital where he died. The occupant of the other car was said to be uninjured.
