A man has been arrested and is being questioned by gardaí in Monaghan in connection with the robbery of a petrol station at Broomfield on the Dublin-to-Derry road last weekend.
Three men were involved in a serious accident as they attempted to make their escape following the raid.
One man died and another was injured. A third man escaped and is still at large.
The man being questioned by detectives had been detained at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda following the incident but was discharged this morning.
