A man (20) has appeared in court today in connection with an attack on a 21-year-old man in Limerick early this morning.
The assault happened in Limerick city centre on O'Connell Street at around 1.30am, after what gardai have called "an incident between them".
Gardai said the man, who was arrested at the scene and later released from Henry Street Garda Station, will also appear before Limerick District Court tomorrow.
The assault left the victim with injuries to his head and body.
