A 48-year-old Dublin man has been cleared by a Central Criminal Court jury of raping and sexually assaulting his former partner's daughter.
The jury brought in its verdicts of not guilty on one charge of rape and three of sexual assault following almost three hours of deliberations.
Earlier, Mr Justice Butler directed the jury of seven women and five men to return not guilty verdicts on three further rape charges.
The accused, who was living with the now 17-year-old girl's mother when the alleged incidents occurred, denied four counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault between 1993 and 1996 at the family home in a north Dublin suburb.
