Twitter users are having a lot of fun with the latest trend #ExplainAFilmPlotBadly, coming up with funny and somewhat tongue-in-cheek summaries of classic films.

Inception is described as a series of naps, Titanic is compared to a large number of people taking the ice bucket challenge and Forest Gump is said to be about a man who spends 30 years in the friend zone.

Star Wars is also getting a lot of attention, given the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Here is a selection of some of the best:
