Soul survivors and disco bunnies will be shaking their booty in Cork from Thursday to Sunday next, when the 3rd Southern Soul & Disco Festival turns the city into a boogie wonderland. It's not just a nostalgia trip through the 1960s and 1970s, however: with cutting edge DJs such as Rae & Christian, Trevor Nelson, Norman Jay and King Britt, clubbers can expect a funky mix of old and new, classic and current. This year's festival features a motley crew of musicians and mixmasters, including Andy Smith, Dr Bob Jones, Jack L, Bellyman, and Marcus Valentine & The Flavas. There's also a colourful line-up of special events courtesy of Powderbubble, Yo! Latino and the outrageous HomoElectric.
