A proposed threat to the Orange Order leadership in Portadown this week has failed to materialise as rank-and-file Orangemen re-elected the District Master, Mr Harold Gracey, and his fellow officers for another year. There had been speculation within Orange circles recently that a small group of dissident Orangemen would oppose the re-election of certain officers who the dissidents believed "had gone soft" on the controversial parade.
