Remanded on murder charge

A Limerick man was further remanded yesterday charged with murder. Mr Robert McNamara (25), of Cliona Park, Ballinacurra Weston, is charged with the murder of Mr Brendan O'Connell (22), Hillview Grove, Doon, a native of Limerick city, at the People's Park, Pery Square, on December 16th. He was remanded in custody to Limerick District Court until February 1st.
