Higher civil and public servants have voted to accept the proposed new Haddington Road agreement on public service pay.

Members of the Association of Higher Civil and Public Servants voted by 64 per cent to 36 per cent to back the proposed deal.

Members of the association had rejected the earlier Croke Park II agreement.

The vast bulk of public service staff have now voted to accept the Haddington Road proposals.
