Washington - Moderate consumption of wine reduces the risk of heart disease, according to a study published in the latest issue of the American Journal of Cardiology. The study examined almost 130,000 hospitalisations for heart disease. "Our findings suggest that both beer and wine may have slight additional protective effects," compared with other forms of alcohol, the author of the study, Dr Arthur Klatsky, stated. - (AFP)
