Tackling crime FF `priority'

FIANNA Fail would put tackling crime and making people feel more secure on top of the political agenda, the party leader, Mr Bertie Ahern, said last night. He accused the Government of putting the whole justice area far down its list of priorities. The Government only reacted when there had been a crisis, he said. It gave the impression of being constantly caught short by events.
