Three held at Shannon over air rage

Three people are being questioned in Shannon Airport tonight in connection with two separate alleged air rage incidents.

Three people are being questioned in Shannon Airport tonight in connection with two separate alleged air rage incidents.

A man and a woman on a transatlantic flight were arrested after the plane was forced to divert to Shannon this afternoon. Both are believed to be Ukrainian nationals and are being questioned over public order offences.

The flight has continued towards Cuba.

In the second incident another transatlantic flight was also forced to land at Shannon and a man, understood to be an Iranian national was removed from the plane and is being questioned over public order offences.
