Two men have been arrested following a taxi hijacking incident in Limerick on Saturday night.
A taxi driver was threatened with a knife after collecting two men on St Nessan's Road. The men requested to be brought to Cratloe Woods, where one of the men produced the knife.
The driver was told to get out of his car at Dooradoyle, around 4km outside Limerick city. He was not physically injured.
The men then drove the vehicle in the direction of Garryowen Rugby Club.
Both arrested men are in their late teens and were detained yesterday. They are being held at Roxboro Road Garda station.
