Sydney - UN weapons inspectors will confront Iraq with new evidence of its remaining illegal armoury and demand its surrender, the leading UN investigator said yesterday. If Iraq complied, the crisis could be defused within six months, clearing the way for a swift end to crippling sanctions, said Mr Richard Butler, head of the UN Special Commission supervising Iraq's disarmament.
