Gardaí are investigating a fire in Dublin city centre this morning in which a woman (29) died.
The fire was discovered at around 1.45am at an apartment at Temple Place, Grenville Street. The woman, who was the only occupant in the apartment, was found dead at the scene.
The blaze was contained by the Dublin fire brigade, and no other apartments were damaged. The woman's body was removed to Dublin city morgue where a postmortem will take place.
Gardaí have sealed off the area to allow for a technical examination.
