American Pie singer Don McLean has been arrested in Maine on a domestic violence charge.
Jail supervisor Corporal Brad Woll said Mr McLean was arrested and posted $10,000 (€9,180) bail at Knox County Jail early on Monday.
The 70-year-old singer-songwriter lives in Camden, Maine.
