A chara, – "Memorable moments: 50 of Ireland's best moments for women in sport" was excellent (Sports Weekend, August 5th). It was wonderful to relive those fantastic occasions.
One quibble. Briege Corkery and Rena Buckley are rightly honoured for their extraordinary achievements in Camogie and Gaelic football. They are unlikely to ever be surpassed. However, a comparison suggesting they have surpassed Kay Mills’s record does not work. Kay Mills only played camogie. There was no Gaelic football for women then and it is not comparing like with like. Kay Mills’s outstanding achievement of 15 senior camogie all Ireland medals stands alone. – Is mise,

Sir, – I enjoyed the article on the 50 best moments for Irish sportswomen in Saturday's Irish Times. It is a little strange that the most successful Irish sportswoman ever, Michelle Smith, failed to make the list. It seems that historical revision has now spread to sporting achievements. – Yours, etc,
