Sir, – I am utterly dismayed by the Secondary Education Committee’s extremely late decision to only permit Leaving Certificate music performers a six-minute recital or eight minutes if performing two instruments.
This recital is normally 25 minutes in duration.
If one-to-one oral examinations of 20 minutes duration are to proceed, why not the practicals where huge distances between examiner and performer can be created?
Where is the logic?
