A chara, – Seán de Brún did not allude to the existence of the Leaving Certificate Applied in his letter of June 8th, as he advocated a modularised Leaving Certificate assessed over a two-year period to decrease the pressure on students. This is exactly the structure of the Leaving Certificate Applied. The 3,000 students sitting it this month are forgotten. A change of mindset is urgently required. – Yours, etc,
