Sir, – As the world continues to live in the shadow of Covid-19, the wealthier nations have lost an opportunity to unite with and show support for citizens in less fortunate regions.
Why is Ireland, among many other more privileged states, offering vaccines to young healthy adults (and potentially teenagers in a number of weeks) when older people, the vulnerable, and healthcare workers in the poorest parts of our world have thus far been offered none?
The human race should reach for its greatest virtue, humanity, and ensure vaccines are offered first to all to those who need them most. – Yours, etc,
