The doubts about tomorrow's card at Tipperary going ahead increased yesterday when the steeplechase course was pronounced unraceable and the £25,000 Kevin McManus Novice Chase declared abandoned.

However, the flat and hurdles course was described as raceable and the forecast for the area is for strong winds and only some rain.

"I'm quietly confident of racing going ahead. We will see how the weather goes but if there is any doubt we will have an inspection at 7 a.m. on Saturday," said the course manager David Wright.
