Boys GolfIreland face Scotland at Moray today knowing a share of the spoils will give them the Boys Home International title and the R&A Trophy after brushing aside a weak challenge from a below-form Wales yesterday.
Ireland laid the foundations for their success with an awesome foursomes display that saw them go into lunch with a 4-1 advantage.
And they piled on the pressure in the top half of the singles to wrap things up by late afternoon and in the end took the singles session 6½-3½ for an overall 10½-4½ triumph.
There were a number of fine individual performances by the Irish boys, with Royal Dublin's Niall Kearney carving out a morale-boosting win at the top of the order by 2 and 1 against Rhys Enoch, who has been named to make his senior international debut for Wales in next month's home internationals.
