Monaghan 1-13 St Mary's 2-7:Monaghan had a scrappy win over an under-strength St Mary's in Clones yesterday.

The home side were ahead by seven points at half-time and hit eight wides in all. Pauric Donagh goaled for Monaghan in the 22nd minute with Niall Sludden responding for the students. St Mary’s outscored Monaghan in the second period, but their shooting let them down.
