Despite the offensive comments about women from Andy Lee's middleweight opponent, Billy Joe Saunders, Ireland's Katie Taylor will appear on the undercard of the professional bout in Thomond Park on September 19th.

Lee defends his WBO World title with Taylor to be scheduled in as the main attraction on the undercard. It will not be the first time that Taylor has fought on the undercard of a professional fight.

The amateur European, World and Olympic champion, who has not been beaten in a championship bout for 10 years, previously fought on the undercard of Bernard Dunne in The Point in 2009.

A joint press conference was to be held with Lee on Tuesday in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel to announce details of the fight, but this has since been postponed.
