Killester and Demons neck and neck in Men’s Premier basketball League

Killester kept pace with fellow undefeated side C&S UCC Demons in the Basketball Ireland Men's Premier League at the weekend with a win over Belfast Star on Saturday night.

Following Demons’ demolition of Bord Gáis Neptune on Friday, Killester provided a timely response by handing Belfast Star their biggest loss of the season.

While the final score of 87 to 63 was not a fair reflection on the game, Killester were the better team and their powerful front-court of Michael Bonaparte, Alan Casey, Mike Westbrooks and Kieran O'Brien proved too much for the northern visitors.

Defending champions UL Eagles served a notice of their own at the weekend, handing a highly-fancied DCU Saints team an 18 point defeat in Limerick.
