Martin and Roche come home in top 10 at Vuelta

Nicolas Roche dropped a spot to third at the Vuelta a Espana today as he came home in ninth position on the third stage to Vilagarcia de Arousa.

American Chris Horner took the 185 kilometres stage from Vigo with a late burst on the hilly finish, with Roche's cousin Daniel Martin coming home in fifth position, three seconds behind the winner.

Roche was placed sixth and now trails Horner by 14 seconds on general classification, with Vincenzo Nibali of Italy dropping back to second spot.

Martin moved up seven places to 32nd spot overall and is one minute and 44 seconds off the lead.
