From Holywood in Co Down, Pollock is also set for his second Olympic marathon, finishing 32nd in Rio, and also finished 21st in the World Championships marathon back in 2013. A doctor, Pollock clocked his qualifier in December 2019, in the Valencia Marathon, running a new personal best of 2:10.25, also inside the automatic Tokyo time.
