Paddy McNair and Donald Love are set to swap Manchester United for Sunderland after the clubs agreed a joint fee for the pair believed to be in the region of £6 million (€6.9 million). The pair are expected to sign four-year contracts at the Stadium of Light.

David Moyes, Sunderland's new manager, knows the players from his Old Trafford days and believes they can help address problem positions in the squad he has inherited from England's new manager, Sam Allardyce.

McNair is a 21-year-old centre-half who can also operate at right-back, right wing-back and in central midfield. He has 11 full Northern Ireland caps and was part of the squad which competed in France 2016. Also 21, Love is a right-back who spent part of last season on loan at Wigan.
