Scotland boss Gordon Strachan does not doubt his players' ability to bounce back from Friday's shock defeat in Georgia when they face world champions Germany at Hampden Park on Monday.
The loss in Tbilisi hit the Scots’ Euro 2016 qualifying hopes hard as they sunk to fourth place in Group D — one point adrift of the Republic of Ireland, who occupy the play-off spot.
Strachan said at a press conference: “We will look forward to this wonderful challenge of playing the world champions. The players give me hope and playing here gives me hope.
“They’re used to it. They’re footballers and they’ve never gone through their careers and it’s been easy. They’ve been getting knock-backs since they were 15 years old and that’s why they’re here.
“We will do it together. These are the kinds of people we need. Everybody has trained well and it shows that they are over their disappointment.”
Strachan is adamant there are few tweaks required to his side despite the disappointing performance in Tbilisi, but accepts his side’s goal threat must improve to stand a chance against the Germans.
“It has to improve but only in the final third,” he added. “What we cannot have is a repeat of what happened in the final third because we could have done better there.”
