Daryl Horgan is the latest Dundalk player to pick up an Airtricity/SWAI Player of the Month award in 2015 with the 22-year-old midfielder making it a three in a row for the club on Tuesday.
Horgan was recognised for his contribution in May when he scored five times as Dundalk won every game they played. David McMillan and Richie Towell had won the award for March and April respectively.
The Galway man said he is in “the form of my life” but insists the club’s early season form has still been down to a strong collective effort.
The team’s title defence has been going exceptionally well so far but Horgan admitted they’ll have to be at their best to have any chance of getting past BATE Borisov in the Champions League qualifiers.
“It’s not the easiest of draws, but if we can go over there and getting something and bring them back to Oriel Park then we have a chance,” he said.
