The daughter of Pharly showed vastly improved form on her seasonal debut in the RL Davison Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket's Guineas Festival when runner-up to Vodafone Oaks favourite Pricket.

Faraway Waters was always close up until taking the lead over two furlongs out. She was headed one furlong out and although keeping on gamely Faraway Waters had no answer to Pricket's acceleration, finishing an honourable five-length second.
