In case you didn’t get the message, Meta really, really wants you to love virtual reality. The problem? It’s just not there yet. To solve that problem, Mark Zuckerberg and pals have decided to come up with a virtual reality headset that’s not only more advanced than the last one you didn’t really go for, but also significantly more expensive.

To be fair, the Meta Quest Pro promises a lot. Not only is it more streamlined than its predecessors, but it also touts itself as having sharper visuals. The battery on the back is curved, making it more ergonomic, and the headset also has high resolution outward-facing cameras to capture roughly four times the pixels of the Quest 2. As far as mixed reality devices go, Meta is throwing everything at this one.
