On November 1st, nearly 1,000 Fit Out leaders from across the country gathered at The Convention Centre Dublin to celebrate those who impressed in an industry that has accelerated growth once again this year. The seventh annual Fit Out Awards was the largest to date and featured 27 different categories in an exciting night hosted by Mario Rosenstock.
Matt Mohan, FKM CEO was honoured to present the award of Fit Out Project Manager of the Year to Louise Dwyer of JLL. Afterwards he spoke of their long-term partnership with the Fit Out Awards:
“The FKM Group were delighted to sponsor the Fit-Out Awards in 2018 - for the seventh year in a row. As Fit-Out, Engineering, Facilities Management and Property related businesses we enjoyed an incredible night that celebrates and supports the brightest innovators in the industry and to deepen relationships we have developed over the past 73 years in Business.”
This type of awards programme recognising the key contributors in Fit Out brings together all of the biggest names together under one roof to celebrate the great success of this emerging industry.
The awards were supported by a large number of sponsors, who assisted those working within the Fit Out industry. Many viewed it as a key opportunity to network with potential clients and exchange ideas on where the sector is headed in the future.
The awards are considered the event of the year within the Fit Out industry, recognising the emerging talent, innovation and ongoing collaboration within our sector
Ardmac, Winner of Fit Out Contractor of the Year and long-term sponsor of the awards, spoke of their ongoing support of the awards. Sarah McDonnell, their head of interior, said, “Ardmac have been proud sponsors of the Fit Out Awards for the past four years. The awards are considered the event of the year within the Fit Out industry, recognising the emerging talent, innovation and ongoing collaboration within our sector. We encourage all associated businesses to support this prestigious event.”
With the construction industry showing growth for the 61st consecutive month in September, the increased demands on the fit-out industry has provided a challenge and brought out the best in those nominated. Keith Somers, head of design at the Staycity Group, led the team of judges who decided the winners on the night, and he was highly impressed by the level of entries:
“The standard of entries that I have witnessed over the last four years continues to improve year upon year and is testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the entire industry in firstly reaching ‘best in class’, and now in leading it across a number of territories.”
