Hendrick's Gin will be taking over some of the capital's most popular bars and adding the brand's quirky stamp to regular weekend proceedings. The newly opened Huck's on Camden St, Fade St hotspot Idlewild, and cocktail mecca The Exchequer will all be taken over by the peculiar – each becoming destinations for some unusual antics over the weekend.
Huck's will play host to steampunk-inspired Unusual Negroni Machine, Hendrick's latest ode to innovation. The one-of-a-kind contraption uses levers to create the gin, Campari, and vermouth drink, acting as a mechanical mixologist to deliver the perfect cocktail each time. Guests will also be introduced to the No Rush Hour Society, Hendrick's charming foil to oppressive time-obsessed mania. Fans will be invited to raise a glass as the clock strikes six for the mystical cocktail hour.
Hendrick's Gin has always held the cucumber in the highest regard. The spirit's unusual distillation process includes an infusion of the fruit, with the Hendrick's serve signature including a cucumber garnish. To celebrate this iconic combo, Idlewild will be transformed into a carnival of cucumbers. The Curious Commentary Box will see a cucumber commentary team observing the social athleticism on display at the bar and dispensing some witty observations to customers.
Festivities will continue in The Exchequer, where the bar itself will become a theatre stage hosting a production of bartender-shaped marionette puppets. Fans will be treated to unique performances at the bar, which will serve brand new Hendrick's cocktails to tantalise the palate.
The bar takeovers will be live from:
- Thursday, November 29th to Saturday, December 1st, at Huck's and the Exchequer
- Friday, November 30th to Sunday, December 2nd at Idlewild
While Hendrick’s Gin is delightfully strange, it’s no stranger to wowing Dubliners with stunningly sensorial events. Last year they lured thrillseekers into The Illustrious Manor of Eminence, and previously bewitched the inquisitive at Hendrick’s Chambers of Curious.
Hendrick’s is a deliciously premium gin, made with a number of unusual twists to deliver a most curious arrangement. Unlike ordinary gins, Hendrick’s is handcrafted in small batches using a two still process to bath and steam the 11 constituent botanicals. Only Hendrick’s is made with infusions of cucumber and rose petals, producing a wonderfully refreshing gin with a delightfully floral aroma.
